These terms are between you and Oftheard, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, the operator of oftheard.in. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use the service for a company, you confirm you may agree on its behalf. Personal data is covered separately by the privacy policy.
What the service is
Oftheard checks whether a website can be read and quoted by AI answer engines, puts a set of buyers' questions to those engines from India, records who they recommend and why, and turns the answers into a plan of pages to write and places to be cited. Scores are produced by our method and are ours; an engine's answers are the engine's, and they vary from run to run. A session is a measurement of what was said at that time, not a promise about what will be said next.
Nothing here guarantees that any engine will name, recommend or cite your brand, or that search rankings will change. The service tells you what is true today and what is likely to move it.
Your account
- One account per person, with true details. You are responsible for what happens under it and for keeping the sign-in to yourself.
- You must be eighteen or older.
- An account has to name a website before it can run a check, and the free plan checks that website only.
What you may check
A check reads the public pages of a site the way a search crawler does, at a polite rate, and changes nothing. On the free plan that site is the one on your account. On a paid plan you may also check competitors' public sites, up to the number your plan allows. You may not use the service to load, probe or attack any site, to reach pages that are not public, or to get around the plan's limits, the rate limits or any access token.

- Prices are in Indian rupees and exclude GST, which is added where it applies.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. A plan is switched on for the account once payment is confirmed.
- Counts reset each month on the day the plan started.
- You can cancel at any time by writing to us. The plan runs to the end of the month already paid for, then the account returns to Free with its history intact. Part months are not refunded.
- Prices and what a plan holds can change. Account holders are told by email at least thirty days before a change applies to them.

Your data
Everything on your account is yours: the profile, the reports, the sessions and the plans. You give us permission to process it to run the service for you, and for nothing else. You can export it or have it deleted by writing to us, as the privacy policy sets out.
We may publish findings drawn from many sessions in aggregate, in a form that does not identify you or your brand. Anything that names a brand is published only with that account's agreement.
The engines and other providers
Sessions are answered by Gemini, OpenAI, Perplexity, Google's AI Overviews and Google's AI Mode, through their paid interfaces or a licensed results-page provider. Their answers are shown to you as evidence. We do not control what they say, and their content remains subject to their own terms. If a provider withdraws or changes an interface, the engine may be unavailable for a time or replaced, and the report says which engine and which model build answered.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, copy or resell the service or its reports as a product of your own without our written agreement.
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or to check a site you have no lawful reason to check.
- Do not interfere with the service, other accounts or the providers it relies on.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as it is, and it is improved often. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. We aim to keep it up, but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of faults. If we ever close the service, account holders are told at least thirty days in advance and can export their data before then.
Where liability ends
To the extent the law allows, Oftheard is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost business or lost data arising from the service, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, or one thousand rupees if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
The reports and plans are information to act on, not professional advice. Decisions taken on them are yours.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless the law prevents it. On closure the data under the account is deleted as the privacy policy describes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from the service. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
The date at the top changes when the terms do. A change that matters to you is announced on this page and by email to account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the change.
