Oftheard vs the enterprise AI visibility tools and agencies: built for brands in India, and priced for them

Enterprise platforms measure the world from the United States and bill in dollars, yearly. Agencies measure with a slide. Oftheard asks six engines as an Indian buyer would, tells you why you were not recommended, hands you the fix and the plan, and costs less a month than most tools cost a week.

Instead of a platformEnterprise AI visibility platformsBuilt for US marketing teams: dollars, usually billed yearly, one region and one engine on the entry plans. Strong on scale; not built for a brand selling in India.
Instead of a serviceAn SEO or AEO agencyPeople who do the work and send a report. The measurement in that report is usually one screenshot per engine, which is not a measurement.
Instead of guessingAsking the engines yourselfFree and worth doing once. One answer, from one place, on one day, with no record of what the engine read or which model answered.

Why brands in India choose Oftheard

Six things, each of them checkable on this site or in the product.

₹3,999

a month, for six engines

ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode on every paid plan, billed monthly, on full-size panels. The enterprise platforms’ three-engine plans run around ₹33,500 a month, paid a year up front, and their entry plans track 15 to 100 prompts.

India

on every single prompt

Asked as a buyer in India, in English, so the engines cite Indian directories, rupee pricing and Indian review sites: what your buyers actually see. Not a region setting; the instrument.

99

checks, each with the fix

Not a crawler dashboard: a fix to paste for every failing check, and Verify fix so the saved score moves when you change the page. Whole-site crawl on paid plans.

2

reasons you were not recommended, told apart

Never read, or read and passed over. One is a discovery problem, the other a messaging problem. Most tools give you a single score and let you guess which.

1

plan at the end of every session

The pages to write, the sites to be cited on, the nearest misses, in order, joined to your own site’s failing checks. A list to act on, not a dashboard to interpret.

0

numbers that mix instruments

Every answer records the engine, the model build and whether it searched. Sessions on different instruments are never pooled, so when the number moves, it moved.

Oftheard is what its own pricing page says. The platform column is what the leading platforms’ public pricing pages said on 7 September 2026. The agency and do-it-yourself columns describe the usual case, not any one firm.

Questions people ask before choosing

Short answers. The FAQ has the longer ones.

Is Oftheard an alternative to the enterprise AI visibility platforms?

Yes, and for a brand selling in India it is the better fit. Oftheard asks six engines on every paid plan as a buyer in India, joins each session to a 100-check audit of your own site with the fix for every failure, and ends in a written action plan, from ₹3,999 a month billed monthly. The enterprise platforms are built for US marketing teams: more engines and regions on their top plans, seats and agents, priced in dollars and usually billed yearly. If your buyers are in India, Oftheard measures what they actually see.

How is Oftheard different from an SEO agency offering AEO?

Oftheard is the measurement; an agency is the labour. An agency writes the pages, builds the listings and sends a monthly report. Oftheard tells you, from stored answers, which page to write and which listing to be on, and measures whether it worked on the same prompts and the same engines. Many agencies would be better with it than without it, and several of our users are agencies.

Why not just ask ChatGPT myself?

Because one answer is weather, not climate. The same prompt gives a different list of names an hour later, and you keep no record of the engine, the model or what it read. Asking yourself is free and worth doing once. Measuring means dozens of prompts, six engines, the instrument recorded, and the comparison with last time.

Does Oftheard cover ChatGPT?

Yes. It reads the ChatGPT app itself, as a buyer in India sees it, through a licensed data provider, with the pages it cited and the searches it ran. A prompt pinned to a district goes to OpenAI’s API instead, which can be told the city. Claude is asked too, through Anthropic’s API with web search on. It does not ask Grok, Copilot or DeepSeek yet.

Which should an Indian startup choose?

Oftheard, if the goal is more recommendations from Indian buyers. Every prompt is asked from India, the site audit tells you what to fix and lets you verify the fix, and the plan says which page to write and which listing to be on next. Start with the free site check. An enterprise platform is the choice when the goal is a share-of-voice report across many engines and several countries for a board.
