Why a plugin is not enough
SEO plugins such as Yoast, Rank Math and All in One SEO do valuable housekeeping: titles, descriptions, sitemaps, markup. They do not tell you which searches your buyers make, which pages win them, or what the AI assistants say about you. Keep your plugin; the work below sits beside it.
How publishing works
- Connect once. In WordPress, under Users, then Profile, make an application password for a user who can edit pages (built in since WordPress 5.6) and paste it into Oftheard. It is kept sealed and never shown again.
- A page is drafted. For each tracked search, from your current page, the top five pages for that search and the facts the owner confirmed.
- It is checked before anyone sees it. No invented prices or figures, no keyword stuffing, nothing lost from the old page.
- A person approves it. Then it publishes in one press: a new page is created at its address, or an existing page’s title, content and excerpt are replaced. WordPress keeps the old one as a revision, and Oftheard keeps its own copy for undo.
Page builders: Elementor, Divi and others
A page built with Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, Bricks or Oxygen keeps its layout outside the page content, so overwriting the content can break the design. For those, the approved draft is saved as a separate WordPress draft page for you to place, and the live page is not touched. Oftheard never touches the home page, the menus or any other page.
After it is published
The page is checked to see that it went live, then left about three weeks while Google tests it. Every week the campaign checks the search on Google from its town, on Bing from India, and in the answers of ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode, so you see whether the page moved anything. A page is reopened only once it has really slipped.
Questions
Does Oftheard need my WordPress admin password?
No. It needs an application password for one user who can edit pages, which you can revoke in WordPress at any time.
Will it change my theme, menus or home page?
No. It only creates or updates the page an approved draft is for, and it never touches the home page or menus.
What if my site uses Elementor or Divi?
The approved draft is saved as a separate WordPress draft page for you to place, so the live design is not broken.
Can I undo a published page?
Yes, in one press. WordPress also keeps the old version as a revision.
