Pinning a prompt to a place
On the questions page, set a state or a district on any prompt. The default is India as a whole. A district prompt goes to the engines that take a location: the OpenAI API and Claude are told the city, Perplexity the country and the district, the Gemini API the place in the prompt’s own words, and Google’s overview and AI Mode are asked from the district’s coordinates.
The ChatGPT app and the Gemini app take only a country, so an India-wide prompt goes to the apps and a district prompt goes to the APIs. The session page says which instrument answered each row.
Why it matters
Asked "best AEO agency" from Madurai, the engines named agencies in Madurai; asked with the district’s coordinate alone, one app named four American agencies. Place is a condition of the measurement, so it is stored on every answer and a session compares an engine with the previous session only under the same conditions.
Hindi and Hinglish
A prompt typed in Hindi or in Hinglish is asked exactly as written on every engine, and the answer, whatever script it comes back in, is stored and read into names the same way. The reasons and the summary are kept in the answer’s own words. The generated panel is written in English registers; add Hindi prompts by hand or from the Search Console library.
What is not built
A prompt cannot be asked from a city outside India. The apps cannot be asked from a district, only the APIs can. Devanagari prompts are not generated automatically.
