What a session is
One run of one collection across the engines you ticked. A collection of fifty prompts on five engines is two hundred and fifty answers, each stored with the engine, the model build that answered, whether it searched, where it was asked from, the language, the full answer, the names it recommended, every name it mentioned, the reasons it gave, the pages it cited and how it treated your brand.
Every session is compared with the one before it on the same collection, so the session page says what moved: which engine started naming you, which rival gained, which sentence changed.
The steps
- Booked. Pressing Run writes the session as running and books it for now. The row appears in your list within a second, and you can leave the page.
- Queued. Within a minute or two the clock fires the booking. Prompts with no place go to the ChatGPT app and the Gemini app, and to Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, through a queue that answers in a few minutes. The row says how many were posted.
- Collected. The queue is read as it answers. Perplexity, Claude and any prompt pinned to a district are asked directly in the same pass.
- Sorted. Every prose answer is read into names, reasons and a short summary by a fixed model with a fixed instruction, as one batch. The row says how many are being sorted.
- Stored. The answers are written together, the outcome is computed, the action plan updates and a mail goes out. The row turns to done.
How long it takes
About five to eight minutes for a collection of fifty on six engines, most of it waiting on the queues. The ChatGPT and Gemini apps sometimes take longer; the session waits up to an hour for them, then asks the stragglers directly so nothing is missing. If the server restarts mid-way, the booking is picked up again and carries on from where the record says.
What it costs against the plan
Its answers. One prompt put to one engine is one answer, and a session draws its prompts times its engines from the month: ten prompts on five engines is fifty, a full panel of fifty on six is three hundred. Starter includes 750 answers a month, Growth 2,400 and Agency 12,000 across its brands, which is three, eight and forty full sessions, or more smaller ones. A Claude answer draws five, because it costs several times any other to ask; a prompt pinned to a district draws three on ChatGPT and six on Gemini, whose APIs are the ones that can be told the place, Gemini’s with a Google search billed on top. The dialog says what a press will draw before you press it. A session booked for a time draws its answers when it is booked, so a plan cannot be overspent by booking ahead. Sessions never run on their own; each is a press or a booking.
What to do with one
- Open it and read the answers where you are absent; the pages the engine cited are the pages to be on.
- Read the action plan, which is rebuilt from the session.
- Run the next session after the fixes, not before; a session a week is enough to see movement.
